well, I find that one camera does just fine. You just take your scenes and decide where to switch camera angles, and it makes the film look like it is professional. However, with two cameras, you can film the exact same scene once, only from two different perspectives, so that when you are editing, it will look flawless.

I have a Canon ZR850.

However, I think that the two most important people you will need are a very good cameraman...someone who can hold the camera steady and won't jiggle it around, or move it around awkwardly on the tripod. You will also need someone who is very creative/good at editing, b/c my friends and I find that you can make your film just about anything you want it to be about, but it takes the editor to make it look professinal. Using zoom-in, zoom-out all the time isn't enough.

Alright sounds fun! Have a great time, and I remember that most movies don't film in order, so it's okay if you jump around filming.

i would say maybe 2 or 3 that way you can have different people shooting from different angles during the scenes and then you'll have more to choose from when you are editing
