I recently bought a new Toyota FJ Cruiser 4X4 (it’s awesome). I traded in a 99 Corvette 6-speed, that had too many faults.
I went to one Toyota dealer in the Phoenix metro area & got the hard sell – the guy wouldn’t give me time to breathe. He kept moving & moving. It was horrible & I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
A couple of days later, I ended up at Power Toyota in Tempe, AZ. I was allowed to walk the lot for 15-20 minutes ON MY OWN. Then I got a guy that let me control the conversation – I got to ask the questions, I raised the question about the test drive, I wanted to run it on the freeway – I got to run it on the freeway. I’d gone online beforehand & I knew what a fair trade in value was – that’s what I got.
In the end, Power Toyota closed the deal, because they let me sell myself on the deal, they answered all my questions & they were open about the trade in process (they sold on the ‘vette, soliciting offers on the web & then showing me the bids).
OK – I’d rate them a 90. Not sure what it would take to get a 100.
Salespersons in general rate lower than the moss on a snakes belly. With that being said and 1 being “Most trustworthy” I would rate them 115.
well 10 maybe
cause they will do everything to get their products sold even if they have to tell lies…
