Go to any car dealership and fill out an application. They train you. It helps if you know about the make of the car you are selling. Don’t think it pays a lot of money. The owners and the managers make money…..not the salesmen.
Study some finance can you can discuss monthly payments and interest rates. Study cars so you know the terms used in describing their performance. Most importantly is to learn customer service. People **** pushy sales people.
Maybe you ought to read “Don´t Get Taken Every Time” by Remar Sutton.This book will put you off car sales for life.Car salesmen are at the bottom of the totem pole in any dealership and unless you are a super salesman you will end up as a floor *****. Forget this nonsense and get yourself an education to enable you to do better things.

Get a job in sales.. I am trying to do the same thing that you are.. Work somewhere that will hire you without any sales experience so you can get some!! For example.. Best Buy or Circuit City.. Then just move your way up!! Read alot of books too. Read about how to sell and take a psyc class or two.. helps in sales if you understand how the other person is thinking and when to offer. Also.. From now on when you are talking to someone about anything.. think of it as selling it!!
Knowing about cars will not do anything for you.. Knowing how to sell will!! You can learn about cars over night.. but learning how to sell and making money off of it will take years! Anyone can go online right now and learn what ever they want in a car.. it is your job to sell it to them!!!
Just be aware that you are going to have to put in alot of hours and it is very stressful!! It is a well paying job if you are good.. but be ready to work!
