I have been offered a job with a recognized funeral home to be a salesman. The car business has treated me very well but is DEAD now due to the way things are and I would like to get into something where people have to buy the product. I made 62k my first year in car sales. Not half that this year. What you think?

definitly 31k is not enough- if ur really good your boss will want to keep but if not cemetery is the way to go

Well you won’t lack for a constant flow – that’s for sure .
And with the baby boom and all you should realize a run on business.
As the old saying goes- There’s only 2 things that you can be sure of- death & taxes.

not a bad idea. bear in mind you will be dealing with people at their most stressed and emotional level. if you thought you’d dealt with “sea-lawyers” before, you’ll have that many more in the funereal business. a lot of people have heard horror stories about getting ripped off because they’re in a state of confusion. so,if you do switch careers, make sure you’re going to a reputable place that won’t expect you to lie or cheat anyone to make a profit. just be the good salesperson you were at the dealership. good luck.
