The man asked:

It was the car, the service, the sales rep attitude?
Be specific.

None yet for me, most people say it would be warranty service though

Well I always research the car so it doesn’t have a break- down history and I work with the salesperson I like rather than the one that runs me over or has a bad persona. But always it is the service department that is booked for little things I need like; an oil change! So I usually go somewhere else because I get it done now!

I guess I didn’t realize that the depreciation would be so much after driving a brand new car off of the lot. Also, I was deceived by the dealership where I bought my car because I took it back faithfully each 3000 miles for an oil change, and they were supposed to check the fluids. Well, after a year of having my oil changed at the dealer, I found out that my transmission fluid was not being checked and it was BONE DRY! It totally ruined my transmission, but I couldn’t prove it was the dealer’s fault.

I have not bought that many new cars (a Toyota, a Subaru and a Jeep). Never had a complaint about the service, sale rep, or the car.
But then again, I do my home work before buying.
I have walked out of some deals over the sales reps.
I have found some service departments are not nice (Subaru), but I could always find a different dealer to go to.
    So can most of us.

Never bought new, never will. Sure am glad you folks are taking that big depreciation hit for me, though! Thanks!
